Passive Voice                   - Be + V3

- Menggantikan posisi object menjadi subject dan sebaliknya

                                         - Bermakna pasif

Example:

• Menonton          => ditonton
• Memakan           => dimakan
• Minum               => diminum

a). Active: Bob eats food every day. b). Passive: Food is eaten by Bob every day	(a) dan (b) mempunyai makna yang sama
c). Bob eats food every day.        S     V1   O        T.S.         Food is eaten by Bob every day.          S  Aux  V3 by phrase    T.S	c) Object dari kalimat aktif dijadikan subject dari kalimat pasif.
d). George drinks coca-cola every night.           S         V1          O           T.S.       Coca-cola is drunk by George every night.               S     Aux  V3  By phrase      T.S.	d). Subject dari kalimet aktif dijadikan object dari kalimet pasif “by phrase”.
RUMUS DASAR DARI KALIMAT PASIF POSITIF Be: Bisa berubah menurut bentuk tenses dan subject. Simple present: is, am, and are. Present continuous: is, am, and are + being Present perfect: have/has + been P. perfect continuous: have/has + been being Simple past: was were Past continuous: was/were + being Past perfect: had + been P. perfect continuous: had + been + being Simple future: will be Future continuous: will be + being

B. CONTOH PASSIVE POSITIF SENTENCE DARI BEBERAPA TENSES

Simple present	We always study English every day.	English is always studied by us every day
Present continuous	We are studying English now.	English is being studied by us now.
Present perfect	We have studied English.	English has been studied by us.
Present perfect continuous	He has been studying English for 2 weeks.	English has been being studied by him for 2 weeks.
Simple past	She studied English yesterday.	English was studied by her yesterday.
Past continuous	You were studying English at 10 o’clock last night.	English was being studied by me at 10 o’clock last night.
Past Perfect	They had studied English when I came.	English had been studied by them when I came.
Past perfect continuous	I had been studying English for two hours when you came.	English had been being studied by me for two hours when you came.
Simple future	I will study English tomorrow.	English will be studied by me tomorrow.
Future continuous	You will be studying English at 10 o’clock tomorrow.	English will be being studied by me at 10 o’clock tomorrow.

• Kalimat introgatif dari kalimat pasif.

Ø  Hanya memindahkan Auxiliary di depan subject.
